Exercises for Improving Your Endurance

Although, all exercises are designed to increase your strength, stamina and flexibility, they can be categorized in certain group that are most effective for just one of these reasons. For example, exercises for strength means that you will do some heavy lifting. But, exercises for endurance are very different, and usually more interesting. These exercises are much easier than those designed for strength, and more practical. These exercises can be: swimming, biking, playing tennis, running, but activity like yard work, climbing and even walking, can be used for increasing your endurance. As you can see, many of them are more interesting that heavy lifting.

Endurance means, how long you can do some activity under certain conditions. Because our muscles are designed to use as little energy as possible, when they are not providing any action, their normal endurance is very low. More developed muscles, like those of bodybuilders, are using much more energy. So, if you want to increase endurance of your muscle, you must start using them. Everyday actions like walking or jogging are the perfect way to do that. But these exercises are increasing endurance of legs muscles and stomach muscles. You will have to do different exercises if you want to increase endurance of your whole body. Exercises for arms and back muscles should be used. For your arms you can use weights, depending on your level of muscle development, you can use weights from 2kg up to 15kg. The secret is how to exercise. You must increasing number of series, but repetitions should stay the same. It is important in all exercises for endurance. This means that your muscles should provide you longer actions under the same pressure.
